🌜 Beyerdynamic Dt 990 Pro 250 Review
The beyerdynamic DT 990 is among the world's best open-back dynamic headphones. And you're looking at another ~$500 USD for an amp/DAC chain to do it justice. The Focal Spirit Pros can be found for less than $200 US.
The Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO are better critical listening headphones than the Sennheiser HD 600. The Beyerdynamic offer a better value thanks to their excellent build quality and great audio reproduction. They feel a lot more durable than the Sennheiser and have a slightly better sound that packs more bass. However, the Sennheiser have a slightly better representation of instruments and vocals

The imaging is also better on DT990.

Hi everyone, I've been looking for an answer to that question for several days without finding any. I own a BD DT-990 Pro in its 250 ohms version and my fairly-old M-Audio MobilePre MKII interface can correctly "drive" it but I have to crank the headphone volume up to 100% every time.
Peaks can be an instant turn off in the treble range. Check their frequency response instead of trusting people. 990s have 2 major and one other possibly painful peak in the treble and it may really become hell for almost every single genre. I suggest something else, if you can. here you can see their chart.
