🦀 Music Man Stingray Bass Review
The neck has a 34-inch scale, 11-inch radius, flat C-shaped profile and 1 5/8-inch nut width. The nut features Music Man’s patented compensated design, and the truss rod is adjusted via an easily accessible wheel located above the highest fret. In addition to three-band EQ, the StingRay features a volume control for the active preamp circuit.
The extra $200-250 buys you almost nothing. The 34 is a big step up from the 24 and is probably 85-90% of a real EBMM for less than half the price, but there's no question the EBMM is the better bass. Better parts and build quality, for sure—but it doesn't sound much different than a Ray34.
Sterling SB14. A specific model of bass made by the manufacturer that makes the import/offshore versions of EBMM. the name of that company is Sterling by Music Man (sometimes called SBMM). This particular model of bass is the import version of the EBMM Sterling model and it only comes in a 4-string version.

Sterling is an official MusicMan brand and not an instrument "made under licence" like the old OLP (Officially Licensed Product), so essentially these instruments are MusicMan basses made in another location where labour rates are obviously cheaper.
