One small difference from my made up "GTI TDI" and a real Euro GTD. GTD has a blue interior color scheme, mine is red. The GTi is faster in every way possible compared to the GTE. Not quite true as I found from about 0-35mph. Drag raced a GTI at a set of traffic lights for a bit of friendly fun, and had him until about 35mph before he moved passed. A stage 2 tune would effectively be a custom map to go with hardware upgrades, such as exhaust intake, intercooler etc. Our GTD's will not benefit from an upgraded intake, and the only way to get decent gains from an exhaust would be to get rid of the DPF.
